Beth Bock, PhD

Dr. Bock is a senior research scientist at the Center for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine at The Miriam Hospital and a professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her research focuses on promoting physical activity and interventions to address substance use through the application of complementary therapies such as positive psychology, yoga, and mindfulness approaches. Her work also integrates the development and application of digital and mobile technologies to health behavior change. Her research includes the development of smartphone apps for alcohol risk reduction and the use of active video games to promote physical activity and improve health in adult populations.
