Dr. Daniels is an assistant professor and child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University. She attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed residency in psychiatry at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University during which she participated in the Brown University NIMH R-25 Research Training Program. After residency, Dr. Daniels completed the Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) T32 postdoctoral research fellowship at Brown University. Dr. Daniels’ research program focuses on epigenetics of early life stress, including inflammatory and metabolic biomarkers. She has presented her research at the annual meetings of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, Society of Biological Psychiatry, and the Society for Neuroscience. Dr. Daniels is also very involved in the community through her work with the Brown Human Rights Asylum Clinic to provide asylum evaluations and in establishing a psychiatric clinic within a local free clinic for undocumented and uninsured patients.
